Kirstyn received her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2014 and is licensed by the Commonwealth of VA. Prior to that she received a double Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Gerontology from Southern VT College and a Master’s in Social Work from Kean University in Union NJ. She also had a personal training certificate from W.I.T.S and a fitness instructor certificate from the YMCA. Kirstyn has advanced training in the following programs: The Alert Program for Self Regulation and Handwriting without Tears.
Kirstyn has been employed with Pediatric Therapies since 2015 and also completed her internship with the company in 2014 under the supervision of Amy Donald, OTR/L and Sharla Meyer OT/L. Presently she works PRN in a nursing home setting and part-time as a school based therapist. She enjoys collaborating and strategizing with the IEP team to help the students work to their fullest potential.
Kirstyn is married with 2 children and resides in Prince Edward County VA. She enjoys running, fitness classes and renovating her 100 + year old home with her husband.
