Allison
MS, PT
Allison received her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia and has over twenty years of experience in pediatric physical therapy.  Allison has practiced PT in a variety of settings, including an outpatient clinic where services address orthopedic or neuromuscular injuries or impairments, acute care for individuals who are admitted to the hospital for short-term patient care, and school services provided within an educational environment in VA.  She is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Allison has certification or advanced training in the following areas/programs:  selecting meaningful, standardized pediatric outcome measures for children with disabilities; strength training and treating the child with neurological impairment; treatment of children with Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Hydrocephalus; management of children with spasticity; gait and treatment techniques in pediatrics; effective evaluation and treatment of pediatric toe walking; management of lymphedema; the neurovestibular complex; Talk Tools®.  Allison lives in Chesterfield and has worked for Pediatric Therapies, Inc., since 2005.

Allison loves working with children, and feels blessed to have a career that is so fulfilling.  When Allison is not at school, she enjoys running, volunteering, and spending time with her family.  Allison lives in Chesterfield with her husband, Cory, a physical therapist at Tidewater Physical Therapy.  They have a daughter and a son.

Renee
Lead PT
Renee Barefoot, Physical therapist, graduated from East Carolina University’s PT program in 1992.  She has over 32 years of experience in the field.  She enjoyed rehab and acute care in hospital settings for many years before making the switch to pediatrics and school-based PT in 2014.  She loves working with this population in the school setting and loves being part of a team helping students participate to the best of their abilities.  
Kelsey
PT, DPT
Kelsey received her doctorate in physical therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 2018 and practiced in Texas for 5 years before relocating to Virginia and transferring her license in 2023. She has worked in outpatient pediatric facilities over the years, gaining experience with children from 8 weeks to 18 years old, with a wide array of diagnoses including Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, toe walking, and developmental delay. Kelsey joined Pediatric Therapies, Inc. in 2023 and currently lives in Richmond with her husband, Hank, son, Tripp, and dog, Annie.
